At La Caracola Inn, we pride ourselves in being true fanatics of our home country. We have created this space as a tribute — a love letter — to the Dominican Republic. We are obsessed and we want you to be obsessed with us.
While the world knows of the DR for its breathtaking white sand beaches, that is just the "cereza" on top. The 18,704 square miles of paradise that is the Dominican Republic houses the most diverse landscape in the entire Caribbean. From majestic mountains to sensational sand dunes, this island will not cease to surprise you.
But, that's not all....
Our people, our culture, and our "encanto" will surely enthrall you. Our mission is to show you the beauty this island is hiding in plain sight, so that you too, become a part of the DR fan club.

In 2021, after a decade of traveling the world whenever she could get PTO from her marketing job, Laura decided to spend her lifetime savings on a fixer-upper property in Old Santo Domingo. She started renovating the space in early 2022, making improvements each month until she was finally ready and able to open the doors of
La Caracola Inn to the public in Jan 2023.
Our goal is to ensure more people from across the globe fall in love with the different details that make the Dominican Republic such a special place. We are starting in Old Santo Domingo, but our vision for the future is much larger. We are working towards the day visitors get to journey through the DR and stay at a La Caracola Inn in every corner of the island.
OUR PRESENT

The name of La Caracola Inn comes from Laura's childhood nickname: "Laurola Caracola." She created this airbnb with two missions. First, to design a creative space where adults can freely nurture and honor their inner child. Secondly, to show to the world that DR has infinitely more to offer in terms of culture and landscapes than the beaches it's known for.
